Saint Brigid 1500 – A Celebration of the Life and Legacy of Saint Brigid

On the 1st February 2024 a year dedicated to Saint Brigid will commence.  Given that Saint Brigid was born in the Archdiocese in Faughart Parish we thought it was important that we mark the 1500th anniversary of her life and ministry during the upcoming year.  

To this end we include a digital booklet which outlines some of the liturgies, events and initiatives planned for the upcoming year.  We invite each parish to mark the beginning of the year dedicated to Saint Brigid, on 1 February, in a significant way and offer some liturgical resources to assist you.  These can be found at the link below:
