Accord Counsellor Recruitment 2019

ACCORD has 55 Centres on the island of Ireland offering services to couples. ACCORD NI CLG has 9 centres – 8 of these; Ballymena, Belfast, Derry, Enniskillen, Newry, Omagh, Maghera and Portadown, (Archdiocese of Armagh) offer Marriage and Relationships Counselling.

The 2019 intake for training as a Couples and Relationship Counsellor is targeting individuals who have:
  • a Diploma/Degree in counselling – which included a significant emphasis on Person-Centred approaches,
  • significant experience of working with clients, and
  • a current, supervised caseload.

The programme of training leads to the award of a Certificate in Counselling (Marriage and Relationship) validated by the Pontifical University, St Patrick's College, Maynooth (SPCM) (Level 8, 20 ECTS).  The Certificate in Counselling is delivered in SPCM on a part time basis, on 16 (weekend) days, over 1 academic year.

All NI Centres are recruiting and the need for new trainees is urgent. Course fees are paid by the sponsoring ACCORD Centre.

So please don’t confine your thinking to the local area – if you have a relative, colleague, or acquaintance who meets these criteria and is living anywhere in Northern Ireland, please let them know about this much sought after opportunity to develop their practice and ask them to contact Brenda on 028 9023 3002 or email info@accordni.com for more details.

Deadline 31st May 2019
