Jubilee Pilgrimage Visits to St Patrick’s Cathedral, Armagh

Dear Father / Deacon / Pastoral Council Chair,

Following our first Jubilee Sunday Pastoral Area Visit to the Cathedral, I wanted to take this opportunity to once again remind you of the invitation extended to you and members of your parish and pastoral area to visit the Cathedral on the date suggested below. 

The feedback from the recent visit was most positive and visitors were happy to experience the "Outdoor Prayer Walk”, the "Guided Cathedral and Museum Tour” and celebrate Mass at 5:30pm accompanied by their own choir. Visitors are invited to bring a packed lunch and enjoy the surroundings of the Synod Hall. 

Pastoral areas are invited to nominate a choir or a combined choir for the Mass and Priests and Deacons are encouraged to participate in the Mass. Priests are invited to offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation during the recitation of the Rosary as part of the preparation for Mass. Please encourage religious communities and faith based groups / organisations in your area to join these special moments.

 

A full listing of the dates can be found below and I would encourage Parishes to promote this Jubilee Pilgrimage as an opportunity to visit this iconic and faith-filled centre of our Archdiocese. Pastoral areas who wish to change the allocated dates are asked to contact me at your earliest convenience.
