We celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany of The Lord on Monday 6 January.
It is a Holy Day of Obligation and Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

There will be a general meeting of the Ballymaguigan Community Development Association on Sunday 12 January at 12 noon in St Trea's GFC community room. It is hoped that at the meeting, a committee can be established that will look into reviving some of the activities of the group. All members of the community are invited and encouraged to attend.

Launch of Year of Reflection and Prayer
The next meeting of the Loup & District Historical Society is scheduled for Thursday, 30th January 2020 in St Patrick’s GAC, Loup at 8 pm.
Aidan Fee will talk about Marcus Costello who originated from the area.
Marcus Costello was a native of Tamlaght parish. Born at the beginning of the nineteenth century in Ballymoyle townland, he went to school in Coagh, entered Trinity College Dublin and qualified as a barrister in 1830. He was Daniel O'Connell's deputy at a time when the Liberator was leading the movement to repeal the Act of Union and to restore an Irish Parliament to Dublin.

ASH WEDNESDAY:
Mass is at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Wednesday, 26th February. Ashes will be distributed at both Masses.
Ash Wednesday (the beginning of lent) is a day of Fast (18th birthday until 59th birthday) & Abstinence (14th birthday onwards). Lent is a season of renewal through prayer and the word of God. It is characterised by a spirit of prayer, penance and almsgiving.
